Dr. Vonda Wright partners with 2x Stanley cup champion and fitness expert, Peter Taglianetti, to bring you the first in a series of hockey specific circuit training movies. The 3 part POWERPLAY movie details Dr. Wright's approach to masterful performance, provides indepth instruction to safely teach you a 10 exercise HOCKEY training circuit and a "real time" demonstration of the exercises performed in 45 second bursts. The entire movie is set to a dynamic original score.
Featuring 2x Stanley Cup Champion Peter Taglianetti
During his 11 year, 450 game professional hockey career, 2x Stanley Cup Defenseman Peter Taglianetti, supplied discipline and grit on the ice. A big, strong and physical defensemen originally out of Framinham, MA, "Tags" was drafted out of college by the Winnipeg Jets and played in Canada for 5 years prior to joining the Pittsburgh Penguins sixteen games into the season in 1990-91. He added a physical presence to the defense when the Pens won their first Stanley Cup that spring. The burly rearguard continued to defend the next year when Pittsburgh repeated as Cup holders in 1991-1992.
Continuing to play until the 1996-97 season, Tags sustained a career-ending hip injury on the ice and retired from professional hockey to begin a second career in broadcasting as the Penguin's "color commentator" for the FOX network while creating several businesses in Pittsburgh, PA.
Since retirement, Peter has drawn on his experience as a professional althete and performance expert to revamp his workout regime to accommodate his hip and competed in multi-sport endurance and off-road adventure racing while building a personal training and performance practice. His injury ultimately lead to hip replacement and turned his attention to keeping masters age hockey players on the ice.
Peter now teams with Dr.Vonda Wright, orthopaedic surgeon and specialist in masters athletes, to maximize performance and minimize injury in adult hockey players in POWERPLAY Sports Performance Movie for Hockey.
Using dry land total body cross training circuits to build speed and agility, core stability and explosive power, Tags and Dr. Vonda give hockey players of all ages and skill levels the tools to stay and win on the ice.
